Catalyst is aware of an ongoing issue affecting TranzCapture users with Canon scanners; other brands/models may also be affected.
A Windows 11 update, labeled "24H2," is causing the PC to stop recognizing USB devices, thus making check scanning nonfunctional. Canon USA has an alert published here: imageFORMULA CR-Series Check Scanners | Canon U.S.A., Inc.
Current recommendations from Microsoft and Canon are to consider blocking updates of the 24H2 version for Windows 11 or, if the update was already applied, roll back the update until Microsoft can provide a verified fix.
If you are unable to roll back the update, beta drivers are available for select Canon scanners ahead of the official driver release. Contact Catalyst's RDS Support Team to receive beta driver updates for Canon CR-50/80/L1 and CR-135i/190i & ii models. Additional scanner drivers are currently being tested. Replacement drivers will be published on the TranzCapture download page once they are certified by Catalyst.
